The Seaside School, Inc. depends on the funds raised through Race Weekend to support the operations of the school. As we continue to elevate the weekend events and experience, we need 100% participation in our school community to ensure our success.
We are recruiting members of our Seaside School community to serve on the planning committee for the 2024 Seaside School Race Weekend (February 15-18th, 2023). This planning committee is instrumental in the success of the weekend. The committee volunteer positions vary in type, qualifications, and time commitment. Whether you are looking for a leadership volunteer role or want to give back but only have a few hours, we have something for everyone! Additionally, high workload times vary for every position. For example, the Corporate Sponsorship and Silent Auction Committees have the bulk of their work in the months prior to the Race, whereas, for example, the Road Crew and Volunteer Committees have the bulk of their work in the weeks leading up to the Race.
The 2024 planning committee meetings will be held at 4:00 PM at the Seaside Neighborhood School, 3rd Building, 2nd Floor on the following dates:

TASTE OF THE RACE
Coordinates and oversees the set-up, production, and clean-up of the event. All operational decisions are handled by this committee, including catering, décor, entertainment, and programs.

VOLUNTEERS
With over 500 volunteers helping at the race, volunteers are the key to our success! Under the direction of Erika from Spearhead, this group will help with recruitment, making assignments, orientation, training, logistics, race day volunteer management and support, managing the Volunteer Tent, and creating volunteer appreciation materials post-race.
