The most important thing for all students to do is take the ACT and SAT tests.  You may take each test as many times as you would like, but keep in mind that there is a cost associated with each attempt.  Every Seacoast student meets the requirements to earn the Bright Futures award as long as their ACT or SAT scores qualify them.  Students should begin taking these tests in the 10th grade.  This way, they have ample time to improve their scores.  Remember...the higher the score, the more financial awards you will receive.

Seniors should begin working on the Common App, which is accepted at most Universities, in early August.  Visit the Common App website to see which universities accept this application.

Start keeping a list of all activities participated in throughout high school, including outside-of-school activities.  Begin by asking at least three people if they can write reference letters for your applications.  Have a list of all activities and accomplishments to give to each person that is writing a reference for you so they may provide the most detailed reference possible.
