Her vision for the future includes exciting projects such as Oktoberfest, Wine Walks, and expanding the Farmers Market, all aimed at enriching the downtown experience. Emphasizing community involvement and engagement, Cecelia envisions a Downtown DeFuniak Springs that thrives through the collective efforts of its residents and visitors alike.

Dr. Thomas Miller has been selected as the new Executive Director of The Seaside School, Inc. 

Class-specific supply lists for Seaside Neighborhood School are now available for the 2023-2024 school year.

The Board of Directors approved a salary scale that is the highest in the region. Our teachers received an overall average of 7.7% increase for the upcoming school year. We are also searching for three new high school teachers.

Seacoast Collegiate High School presented Our Eye-Opening Perspectives this week - an exhibition of student art curated by art educator Robyn Wallace and funded by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County.

The Seaside School, Inc., Florida’s oldest continuously operated public charter school and #1 combination public charter school in the state of Florida, announced today the launch of the Seacoast Collegiate High School (SCHS) Expansion Project in partnership with Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC). This multi-million dollar expansion project will further expand the partnership between SCHS and NWFSC by providing a permanent home for SCHS at the South Walton Campus of NWFSC as well as developing a high school dual enrollment center for all students in Walton County. In addition, the new facility will include “The Accelerator” which will offer training, mentoring, and collaboration to new area businesses and entrepreneurs.
