The school's emphasis on community engagement and civic responsibility laid the foundation for her future endeavors as a changemaker in DeFuniak Springs.

Nurturing a Passion for Marketing and Advertising

This hands-on experience not only honed her skills but also fueled her passion for creating engaging experiences for the community.

The Roots of Inspiration: Childhood Memories in DeFuniak Springs

Cecelia's connection to DeFuniak Springs runs deep, as she frequently visited her grandmother in the area during her childhood. Fond memories of attending events at Walton County's historical Library left a lasting impression on her young mind. However, she also recalls the challenge of finding suitable activities for children in the region, sparking her vision of offering special weekend experiences for kids in Downtown DeFuniak Springs.

In her vision for the future, Cecelia plans a series of exciting projects, including Oktoberfest, another Wine Walk, and an expanded Farmers Market. The recent success of the Wine Walk event encourages her to plan for another one in September to take advantage of the cooler weather. Additionally, she aims to bolster the Farmers' Market by attracting more vendors through strategic advertising, thus ensuring the prosperity of businesses along Main Street.
