Main Street DeFuniak Springs is on a mission to cultivate a flourishing downtown, creating a vibrant local economy and an inviting space for both residents and visitors. Recently, the organization welcomed a new and dynamic director, Cecelia Canut, a young professional with an infectious passion for event planning and a vision to see Downtown DeFuniak Springs prosper. Born in Miami and later moving to Walton County during elementary school, Cecelia's journey took her through Seacoast Collegiate High School in Santa Rosa Beach, where she graduated with remarkable achievements. Her journey continued with an AA degree from Northwest Florida State College and culminated in a bachelor's degree in Marketing and Advertising from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida.
